Friday: Shortened Day for Force India
The Force India team prematurely ended its test day. The team explains in a statement that due to logistical problems, they decided not to participate in Free Practice 2. However, even if it's not the stated reason, there's no doubt that the events experienced by four of its mechanics on Thursday evening are not unrelated to this decision.
Paul di Resta – 3rd (Free Practice 1)
« The track was still green and dirty at the start, but we managed to complete our program and work on balance, cooling, and trying both types of tires. The base setup was good, but our goal for tomorrow is to improve our performance in slow corners. »
Nico Hülkenberg – 6th (Free Practice 1)
« We took a different approach in Free Practice 1 today and used our three sets of tires to gather the data we needed for the race. The session went well, and the car seems good, although there are still some adjustments to be made tomorrow. »
