Bianchi will drive the VJM05 in Shanghai

Jules Bianchi signed a contract at the beginning of the season with the Sahara Force India team to serve as a test and reserve driver for the Indian team, with the possibility of driving on Friday mornings during several Grand Prix weekends throughout the season.

The Frenchman has already had the opportunity to test the VJM05, driven this season by Nico Hülkenberg and Paul di Resta. It was during pre-season testing. This time, he will take the wheel of the Force India team’s single-seater for the first time during a Grand Prix.

This is at least what the Journal du Dimanche announced in its edition yesterday. Bianchi is expected to replace Paul di Resta during the first practice session on Friday at the Shanghai International Circuit. His goal will be to complete the work to prepare for the rest of the weekend while gaining valuable kilometers behind the wheel of an F1 with the aim of being a full-time driver in 2013.
