Friday: Cautious Satisfaction at Sauber
Sauber's objective during this first day of testing was to prepare for Sunday's race. This task was complicated by the somewhat unpredictable weather over Melbourne today. However, the team remains positive and is pleased to have been able to test different types of tires. Tomorrow's session will be important in view of the qualifications.
Kamui Kobayashi: 10th and 5th
I’m relatively happy, and I think the day went well for us. We used the rain tires, intermediates, as well as the mediums. Due to the changing track conditions, it wasn’t easy to learn much from the day, so now we have to decide what to do and think about the next steps for tomorrow.
Sergio Pérez: 15th and 3rd
« We improved between the first and second sessions, but it’s really difficult to draw conclusions from today’s information because of the weather conditions. Tomorrow’s third practice session will be very important. We have to see how the conditions develop and then set everything up correctly for qualifying. »
