Dominic Harlow, who was the chief race engineer at the Force India team, has decided to join Williams. He will be the operations engineer at Williams. In fact, he made his debut in this new role this week in Jerez.
The Williams team experienced a difficult 2011 season and therefore tried to strengthen in order to bounce back in 2012. According to Mark Gillan, the head of race operations who will be Harlow’s superior, the arrival of Dominic Harlow is a good thing.
« The management of the race weekend is an area where we are very eager to strengthen ourselves. Dominic is a great addition to the team that manages the racing side. He is already bringing good ideas, so I am delighted to have him with us. We are always on the lookout for talented engineers, » Mark Gillan told Autosport.
Harlow thus leaves Force India, which he joined in 2005 when the team was still called Jordan Grand Prix. His arrival is part of the process of reevaluation that the Williams team is undertaking to try to make up for a difficult 2011 season.
