HRT moves to Madrid
The HRT team has finally managed to find new premises to accommodate all its employees. The various departments of the Spanish team are expected to be grouped within a month in premises of 11,000 square meters in Madrid.
The HRT team has finally decided on the location of its premises. Based in Murcia and Germany, the team that aims to be 100% Spanish has decided to consolidate its entire team in a new headquarters based in Madrid. The team will have a total area of 11,000 square meters.
The objective of this move is to bring together all the team’s departments in one location to optimize and better manage things, particularly the development of the 2012 single-seater. The team hopes that this move will allow it to lay the groundwork for its restructuring.
« For us, it is fundamental to have a headquarters like this, aside from bringing the team together and putting an end to the dispersion, it is also beneficial from a logistical and industrial perspective. But it also allows us to maintain a closer relationship with our fans, suppliers, and sponsors, » explains the head of the HRT team in a statement.
The HRT team aims to make these new premises a place open to the public as well. They are considering setting up a museum, offering guided tours, and turning it into a space for hosting conferences.
HRT hopes to be able to move into its new premises quickly. It is aiming for all its employees to relocate within a month – just before the start of the season in Australia scheduled for March 18.
