Williams presents the FW34 in the early morning

It was this morning, early, that the Williams team presented its new car for the 2012 Formula 1 season. The FW34, powered by a Renault engine, double world champion with Red Bull, will have to make people forget its predecessor which gave Williams one of its worst seasons since its creation.

Like all 2012 cars, except for the McLaren, the new Williams features a stepped nose. At the rear, the sidepods are very narrow, similar to those of the FW33, but the rear wing is no longer mounted on a single mast at the gearbox level.

The FW34, designed under the direction of Mike Coughlan, will be entrusted to Pastor Maldonado and Bruno Senna, who replaces Rubens Barrichello. It is the Venezuelan who will take the wheel today and tomorrow for the first track tests of the latest creation from Grove.
