Bottas has already tested the Williams FW34
The Williams team tested for the first time, on the occasion of filming a commercial, the FW34 which will be officially presented on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, in Jerez.
The Williams team will present its new car for 2012, the FW34, next Tuesday, February 7th. But the first example has already completed its first laps today.
The Williams team confirmed to Sky Sports that Valtteri Bottas, the test and reserve driver, today took the wheel of the FW34 at the Idiada circuit in Spain.
The Finnish driver took part in the filming of a commercial clip behind the wheel of the single-seater, now powered by Renault, and was fitted for the occasion with demonstration tires provided by Pirelli.
Ferrari hoped to do the same on Friday at Fiorano, but the snow ultimately thwarted their plans. The Williams team will now head to Jerez for the start of the winter testing for the 2012 season. Pastor Maldonado and Bruno Senna will take the wheel of their new car from February 7 to 10.
Valtteri Bottas will have the opportunity to drive the Williams FW34 again during several Friday practice sessions throughout the 2012 season.
