Michael Schumacher did not make a thunderous return to F1, but according to Timo Glock, the Mercedes AMG driver will need to be watched in 2012. He believes Schumacher is a highly talented driver who always needs to be monitored.
Timo Glock believes that Michael Schumacher should not be forgotten for 2012. The Marussia driver thinks that his illustrious elder is still in good shape and could surprise if he has a good car this season.
The seven-time F1 world champion has not managed to secure a single podium finish in the last two seasons since his return – his best result being a 4th place.
« You cannot underestimate him in any way. He is very motivated and always someone you have to take into account, » Timo Glock told Sky Sports News Germany.
The German driver also spoke about another of his compatriots, Sebastian Vettel. According to Glock, the reigning double world champion has just completed two extraordinary seasons and he considers him the favorite for his own succession in 2012.
“What he has done in the last two years was phenomenal. In terms of consistency, he will be very hard to beat,” Glock told the news agency SID.
