Vettel will be champion in Singapore if…
casinoenligne.uk.com offers you, before each Grand Prix, the different scenarios that could allow Sebastian Vettel to clinch his second world crown after the race.
After his recent victory at Monza, Sebastian Vettel has taken another step towards a second title that has seemed promised to him for weeks. With the question of “if” thus dismissed, it is now appropriate to ask “when?”. After the Singapore Grand Prix, the German driver will still have 5 races at his disposal to be crowned, but he could already be titled in the small city-state provided he has a 125-point lead over the competition, while he already holds a 112-point lead over his closest rival, Fernando Alonso.
It should be noted, however, that in the event of a tie in points, the title is awarded based on the number of victories, then second places, and so on. Thus, with 6 races remaining, two drivers can match his number of victories, Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton. To be crowned in Singapore, Vettel must therefore ensure:
Vettel will be champion if he wins the race and…
Vettel will be champion if he finishes 2nd and…
Vettel will be champion if he finishes 3rd and…
However, if Vettel does not finish on the podium at the Singapore Grand Prix, he will have no chance of being crowned there. The ideal scenario for the German would therefore be to win the race, ahead of Lewis Hamilton, Mark Webber or Jenson Button, and Fernando Alonso.
On the constructors’ side, Red Bull, no matter what happens, will not have the 215-point lead over McLaren and Ferrari by the end of the Singapore Grand Prix to be crowned, although the Scuderia could if it scores no more than 18 points fewer than its Austrian rival.
