Friday: We will analyze the data at Virgin
The Virgin team arrived in Monza with numerous updates to the rear end of the car. If these improvements seem to bring a little extra, they still need to analyze the data to know more about their real contribution to performance. D'Ambrosio is satisfied with his start to the weekend, while Glock lost running time this morning due to technical issues.
Timo Glock – 23rd and 20th:
« Not one of our best Fridays. We had some technical issues during FP1 and we couldn’t complete our program this morning. I spent 45 minutes in the garage without being able to drive, so I had a lot of work in the afternoon. »
« In the second session, we quickly took a good direction with the car, and I felt comfortable. It’s a bit difficult with the leaders here; they are very fast, and the difference in top speed can be significant, so we will have to look into that for tomorrow and try to make the car faster. »
« It’s still a bit early to talk about developments because we need to study the data, but I hope for a good Sunday.
Jérôme D’Ambrosio – 24th and 23rd:
It was a good Friday apart from the engine problem. Today was mostly focused on the new developments which don’t seem too bad. Now we must analyze the data and wait until tomorrow, but for now, it’s encouraging. Overall, my day was very useful for Sunday’s race. I hope we can continue to work like this tomorrow.
