Friday: A weekend off to a good start for Sauber
Sauber can be satisfied with their first day on the Monza circuit. Both drivers are happy with the car's behavior, although Kobayashi believes he can improve the balance and therefore the lap time.
Sergio Perez – 9th and 8th:
« For me, it was a very positive day. So far it’s better than I expected, which is good news. When I had new soft tires, the track was a bit dirty so it makes me hope that I could do better in qualifying. My car seemed well-balanced, especially with the soft tires and also on the long runs. »
Kamui Kobayashi: – 14th and 9th:
« Having stable weather was very helpful today and allowed us to work on the setup during both sessions. For me, the car is not perfect yet, but I can see that we have the potential to improve the balance and lap time. I am looking forward to tomorrow. »
