Red Bull and Renault extend for 5 more years

The world champion team Red Bull Racing has extended its agreement with the French manufacturer for an additional five years. The next V6 turbos from the diamond brand will indeed equip the future single-seaters of the Austrian team.

Red Bull and Renault extend for 5 more years

Building on a partnership that already enabled Red Bull Racing to win a double title in the Formula 1 World Championship in 2010, Renault Sport F1 will continue to supply the V8 engines and KERS electric motors for Red Bull Racing for the 2012 and 2013 seasons, as this new agreement emphasizes strengthened technical cooperation between Red Bull Racing and Renault.

As part of the new agreement, a technical joint venture will be established, in which Red Bull Technology and Renault Sport F1 will collaborate with the aim of developing innovative technical solutions for the new engine that will be used from 2014. Red Bull Technology and Renault Sport F1 will bring their respective expertise, experience, and dedicated personnel to the project in order to create a competitive and reliable power unit. The engine resulting from this collaboration will be used by Red Bull Racing and other Renault Sport F1 customer teams.
