Vitantonio Liuzzi in V8 Supercar
At the end of October, the Italian driver will take the wheel of a V8 Supercar at the Surfer Paradise circuit in Australia.
Vitantonio Liuzzi will take the wheel of a V8 Supercar on the Australian circuit of Surfer Paradise at the end of October. The HRT driver will team up with another Italian, Tony D’Alberto, within the TDR team.
Liuzzi will join former Formula 1 drivers as Mika Salo, Jan Magnussen, Sébastien Bourdais, Christian Klien, Gianni Morbidelli, and Stépagne Sarrazin will also be participating.
« I had a glimpse of the TDR car at the Australian Grand Prix earlier this year and I was impressed, » explains Liuzzi.
The Surfer Paradise race will take place from October 22 to 23, but the participating drivers will meet at Queensland Raceway on the 19th for a day of testing. It will be an opportunity for Liuzzi to get his bearings.
I don’t think it will take me long to adapt to the car. The practice day beforehand should be fine. I have experience with powerful sedans and I really enjoy driving them. The V8 Supercars are very similar.
