Saturday: Not ideal qualifications for Virgin
Satisfaction for Virgin, who progressed since the free practice sessions even though the drivers had difficulties in making the most of the car, due to rather cool temperatures and race settings.

« The car was not easy to drive today. We had the same problem at Silverstone in similar conditions, and our car is very sensitive to the wind. We need to understand why because without small mistakes, too much oversteer, and without having to push to the limit to try to get the best out of the car, we could have been 4 or 5 tenths faster. I pushed and set good times. I just want to better exploit the car. However, we managed to get between the Lotuses, and with better conditions, I think we could have a good race, so we’ll see what tomorrow brings.

« I think it was a pretty good qualifying session for me today. I didn’t manage to get the most out of the car on my fastest lap, and since we’ll be using the same settings for the race tomorrow, it wasn’t ideal for qualifying anyway.
But I am really happy to have a quiet Saturday, we didn’t have any rain, no twists of fate. As a result, we have a consistent rhythm and I can’t wait for tomorrow.
