Friday: Mixed day at HRT
For his second Formula 1 Grand Prix, Daniel Ricciardo aims to get closer to his teammate but lost valuable time due to a reliability issue with his car.
Vitantonio Liuzzi – NC and 22nd position
« In absolute terms, this afternoon was a good session. I focused a bit on everything. It’s important to understand the tires well and how they react over a long race distance. It’s also important to improve our speed and balance in terms of settings and aerodynamics, so we had an hour and a half to work on both, and I think we covered all the areas. It was a good Friday. »
Daniel Ricciardo – 22nd and 23rd
I quickly got used to the car. We worked on its balance and the tires. A good first session to start my second race weekend in F1. Unfortunately, we had a small problem with the car during the second session and couldn’t make the most of the time available on track.
Narain Karthikeyan – 20th and NC
It feels good to be back in the car. We have good setups, a clean session, and enough track time to test certain mechanical parts. Some changes to the car had the effect I was hoping for. I am proud to have maintained the 20th position in the standings even though I didn’t manage to achieve my best time. I could have gone faster.
