Lewis Hamilton reportedly proposed to Nicole Scherzinger
The singer's father announces that the couple is expected to soon tie the knot.
According to Alfonso Valiente, father of Nicole Scherzinger, Lewis Hamilton has proposed to the Pussycat Dolls singer. « Are you aware of the marriage proposal? Yes, they are engaged. My future son-in-law is a really great guy, very down-to-earth. My whole family loves him. […] He is sincere, and my daughter and he seem genuinely happy together » confided the father of the 2008 world champion’s chosen one this Sunday in the Sunday edition of the Daily Mail.
The beauty and the driver met in November 2007 and were in perfect love until their breakup in January 2010. However, the separation lasted only a few months, and marriage has been mentioned several times since, although this time the announcement comes from the very person who is supposed to lead Nicole Scherzinger to the altar.
The 33-year-old singer, however, quickly refuted her father’s claims on her Twitter account: « Lewis and I woke up this morning to learn that we were engaged! Sorry to disappoint you all but it isn’t true (sic). »
For his part, the McLaren driver’s spokesperson refused to make any confirmation.
