Is the history of F1 relevant to what you are doing today?

« The history of F1 is very interesting, but so much has changed in terms of technology and rules that you can’t really learn from the past. However, it is very important to use your experience and adjust it to the different circumstances you face each race weekend. »

My friends and I are going to study at the mechatronics technical school. Maybe we could help you a bit in F1. Our ideas are better than Newey’s. What are your tips?

« It’s good news! I can put you in touch with our research and development department, they will be delighted to evaluate your ideas. »

Regarding the fight for the championship this season, do you think Vettel will win the title quickly?

« It seems that the challenge this season is more for second place than for first. But you never know. For several seasons, the championship has been decided in the last race, so we will see. »

What is it like to drive an F1 car on the streets of Monaco?

« Personally, I love it because you have to take each turn with a lot of precision. This is especially true during qualifying where you feel like your instincts are faster than your brain. »

How many races have you watched this season? Were they boring or interesting?

« I have seen them all! Generally speaking, I found them to be interesting and I think the new rules have clearly improved the show. »

Is it true that you will return for the Brazilian Grand Prix?

« I like having a goal when it’s a realistic goal. We will see how the next few months go in terms of my rehabilitation and then we will make a decision when the time comes. What is important is that I know my team is keeping my seat for me, no matter when I need it. »

On which track that’s not on the calendar would you like to race?

« I would say Jerez de la Frontera, it’s a track I know well since F1 does a lot of testing there. And in a car other than an F1, I would go to Macau. »

What are your goals in the near future once you have recovered?

« Exactly the same as before, my goals haven’t changed. »

You spent your childhood in Poland and your youth in Italy. With F1, you travel all over the world, and you have an apartment in Monaco. Is there a place you can call ‘home’?

« My home is where my friends and interests are located, that’s the most important thing for me. Having an airport nearby is also important… »

How long will your convalescence last?

« It’s difficult to predict. It also depends on ‘nature’. But the good news is that my recovery is good and sooner or later I will be able to set a date for my return. »
