Abu Dhabi will host the tests for young drivers

Even though the championship will finish at Interlagos in Brazil, it is the Abu Dhabi circuit that will host, as it did last year, the test days dedicated to young drivers.

These ‘Rookie Days’ will be held directly after the Abu Dhabi race from Monday to Thursday on the Yas Marina circuit. The teams will then head to Interlagos for the final round of the season.

Last year, it was Daniel Ricciardo who proved to be the fastest in these tests at the wheel of the world champion single-seater. Pastor Maldonado and Jérôme d’Ambrosio also took the opportunity to acclimate themselves to driving a Formula One.

If the list of drivers who will be on track this year is not yet known, there is a strong chance that Jean-Eric Vergne will find himself at the wheel of the Red Bull Racing RB7 and Jules Bianchi will drive for Scuderia Ferrari. A first contact before the big leap?
