Saturday: Virgin hopes for a good race tomorrow
Timo Glock is very happy with his performance in qualifying today. The German driver is ahead of Jarno Trulli's Lotus and hopes to have a good race tomorrow afternoon. Jérôme D'Ambrosio also hopes to have a solid race tomorrow, although he regrets not being able to make two attempts in Q1.
Timo Glock – 20th:
« I am relatively happy with our position today. I am 20th, ahead of Trulli, and it was quite a good lap. The car wasn’t great in the dry this morning, so we made some changes, but it still wasn’t ideal. I gave everything for this lap. You can never be certain what Silverstone will give us in terms of weather, so I like this kind of qualifying. With a set of slick tires, you have this magic moment where you can put everything together and do your best at the right time. I made a small mistake, but I am ahead of my competitors, so I have to be happy. I am very excited for our home race tomorrow. »
Jérôme D’Ambrosio – 22nd:
« This morning went well, I had a good feeling with the car. This afternoon was good too, but unfortunately, with the weather changes, I wasn’t able to make a second attempt, which is a shame because I made a mistake in my fastest lap. But I think overall it’s not bad; it should be a good race tomorrow. »
