D’Ambrosio will start tomorrow

Jérôme D’Ambrosio was unable to place his Virgin below the 107% mark during the qualifying session of the Canadian Grand Prix. The Belgian driver fell four-tenths short of the time needed to be allowed to start the race tomorrow.

Considering the performances recorded during the free practice sessions and the fact that D’Ambrosio had a new chassis following his off-track incident yesterday afternoon, which likely explains his underperformance during the qualifying session, the FIA stewards have decided to allow him to start the race tomorrow.

Jérôme D’Ambrosio will therefore be present on the grid tomorrow afternoon and will start from the 24th and last position.
