Thursday: HRT struggles in Monaco
Difficult day for the small HRT team. Narain Karthikeyan took some time before finding his footing on the winding track of the Principality, while Liuzzi went off after the tunnel and was unable to participate in the afternoon practice.
Narain Karthikeyan – 22nd and 23rd:
The afternoon session was a bit difficult, I think the car’s balance was better in the morning or maybe we just had a good stint. I had some issues with my seat so we’ll have to sort that out. It took me some time to get my bearings on the track so it wasn’t the best day. We’ll see how Saturday goes.
Vitantonio Liuzzi – 23rd and 24th:
It was a difficult day because I had an accident this morning and I couldn’t drive in the second session. I don’t have much more to say, just that the car had a problem at the rear on the bumps, and on one lap, the rear completely let go at the tunnel exit and I lost the car. We couldn’t fix it for FP2 so now we have to wait for Saturday and hope for a better day.
