Thursday: Red Bull is competitive
Thursday without problems for Sebastian Vettel. The world champion enjoys the track and hopes to achieve a good result here. Mark Webber had a slightly more eventful day. The Australian did not run in the morning due to a gearbox problem. This setback does not prevent him from being optimistic for the rest of the weekend.
Sebastian Vettel – 1st and 5th:
« It was a positive day. Both tire compounds are working well and seem to hold up, which is important. We will see the conditions on Sunday, but the super softs seem preferable for qualifying. They seem faster and you can get a better time with them. »
I had a good feeling with the car, it’s fun to drive here, it’s a different circuit, and it’s bumpy. I brushed the wall after three laps, I hope that’s done for the weekend. The car seems competitive, but everyone is very close to each other, so it will be tight.
Mark Webber – 24th and 8th:
I had a gear selection problem this morning, which means I lost track time; otherwise, it wasn’t bad. This afternoon, we gathered a lot of information. It’s easy to try to make up for lost time and make mistakes, but we got the information we wanted. We should be good for Saturday.
