Saturday: HRT still at the back of the grid

Unfortunately for HRT, the revolution did not happen; the two drivers of the Spanish team find themselves once again at the back of the grid. However, a positive point from this session: HRT is getting closer to Virgin Racing.

Saturday: HRT still at the back of the grid

Vitantonio Liuzzi – 23rd:

Today, everything was as it should be. We could have gotten more from the second set of tires, but we had a strange reaction from them with a bit of understeer. We reduced the gap to Virgin, which was the goal.

Considering that we did not use all the new developments, it was a positive qualifying session. Now, we have to push hard in development for Turkey. I am sure we can give Virgin more difficulties than in Malaysia.

«We have shown that with both tire compounds, the soft and the hard, we were competitive. So the 107% rule should no longer be a problem. We must now focus on the development of the car and try to finish ahead of our main competitors. »

Narain Karthikeyan – 24th:

The day started well with the third free practice session where the car was really good. I think I could have gone faster and set a better time.

We have a better package, and qualifying should no longer be a problem. Our goal now is to close the gap on Virgin. As for me, I definitely need to complete more laps with the car. My goal tomorrow is therefore to finish the race.
