Friday: HRT a revolution is brewing!
HRT may no longer be at the back of the grid by tomorrow, the small Spanish team is ahead of Virgin Racing, but be careful not to make mistakes during qualifying to maintain this advantage.
Narain Karthikeyan – 24th and 20th:
«Today, we tried different settings and covered a good number of kilometers. We also tested our race settings, so overall, it was a very productive day. We will try to make another step forward tomorrow and see what we can do. I’m happy with the number of laps we completed today. Except for my spin towards the end, it was a very good day. Now, we need to aim to qualify in a good position and finish the race on Sunday.
Vitantonio Liuzzi – 21st and 21st:
« We had a productive morning of testing during which we completed a good number of laps and everything went as planned. The car was performing well, we made improvements that we can use in Turkey, so it was a good morning. Unfortunately, we had to stop on the last lap due to a hydraulic problem that extended into the afternoon, where I was only able to do one timed lap. »
It’s a shame that we couldn’t run more in the afternoon. By doing more laps, we could have understood the car a little better and we would have been better prepared for tomorrow. The lap times are not bad at all. We must therefore stay positive ahead of tomorrow’s qualifying.
Colin Kolles – Team Director HRT
«It wasn’t a bad day; unfortunately, we encountered some problems and couldn’t run as we wanted, but the times look promising. I think we’ve taken another step forward in terms of performance, so I’m looking forward to seeing tomorrow’s qualifiers. »
