This is, in any case, the meaning of the statement made by Sean Bratches and Tom Garfinkel, the CEO of the Miami Dolphins American football team: \u00ab We are thrilled to announce that Formula 1 and the Hard Rock Stadium have reached an agreement in principle to host the first Miami Formula 1 Grand Prix at the Hard Rock Stadium. \u00bb<\/p>\n
But as always, the devil is in the details. Indeed, it was probably not difficult to reach this agreement since the land around the stadium also belongs to Stephen Ross, the promoter of the event. Like in the “great” era of races in the parking lot of Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, the circuit would primarily use the parking areas around the stadium.<\/p>\n
Despite the prevailing triumphalism, there remains a significant obstacle: the event must still obtain final approval from the Miami-Dade commission. It is precisely this same commission that opposed the holding of a Grand Prix last year, which wanted to use the prestigious Bayfront Park setting.<\/p>\n
