The Formula E E-Prix that was scheduled to take place on March 21, 2020, in Sanya, China, will not occur.<\/p>\n<p>In consultation with the E-Prix organizers, the FIA, the Federation of Automotive Sports and Motorcycles of the People&#8217;s Republic of China, and local authorities, the organizers of the ABB Formula E have decided to cancel the Chinese round of the Formula E World Championship.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, which has currently resulted in over 300 deaths in China, the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the outbreak a Public Health Emergency of International Concern.<\/p>\n<p>Following this announcement, Formula E did not want to take any risks regarding all team and organizer staff, drivers, as well as the public. It therefore took the necessary measures by canceling the race.<\/p>\n<p>Formula E is currently working with local authorities to monitor the situation and try to find a later date to hold the E-Prix under good conditions.<\/p>\n<p>For the record, Formula 1 is scheduled to go to Shanghai in April for the Chinese Grand Prix.
