This Russian Grand Prix will go down in history with the end of a unique reign. The sole record holder for the number of Grand Prix starts since June 2008 (surpassing Ricardo Patrese’s 256 starts), Rubens Barrichello was joined this Sunday, September 27, by Kimi R\u00e4ikk\u00f6nen, with 322 Formula 1 races to his name!<\/p>\n
The former Ferrari teammate of Schumacher (2001-2006) wanted to congratulate the Alfa Romeo driver:<\/p>\n

For his 322nd Grand Prix, “Iceman” had an uneventful race, finishing in 15th place. Starting from 19th, his one-stop strategy allowed him to battle in the midfield for a long time. He then had a more challenging second stint, which did not allow him to climb higher in the standings.<\/p>\n

Not upset by this prospect, it’s still unknown whether the Finn will still be there in 2021: his contract with Alfa Romeo has not yet been extended.<\/p>\n
