Replaced at the last minute by Nico H\u00fclkenberg<\/a>, Stroll finally explains the reason for his absence via a message shared on social media:<\/p>\n \u00ab I just wanted to let you know that I tested positive for Covid-19 after the Eifel Grand Prix weekend, \u00bb the Canadian driver tells us this Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n In detail, Stroll indicates that he had a first negative test upon his arrival at the N\u00fcrburgring on the Wednesday before the race. However, he started to feel unwell on Saturday morning, with stomach pains. Following the FIA’s health protocol, Stroll isolated himself in his motorhome, without circulating in the paddock.<\/p>\n Not in condition to drive<\/a>, Stroll therefore gave his place to H\u00fclkenberg. The son of the owner of the Racing Point team flew back home on Sunday morning of the Eifel Grand Prix.<\/p>\n In his message, Stroll also informs us that he stayed in isolation at home for the 10 days following the race, with mild coronavirus symptoms. His health has improved, and the latest COVID test conducted this Monday came back negative.<\/p>\n The Racing Point driver concludes his message by emphasizing that he now feels in shape.
