We announced it earlier this week<\/a>. The Yas Marina circuit will undergo modifications this summer. The aim of these changes is to try to increase the spectacle on a track that is regularly criticized for its lack of action.<\/p>\n

This Thursday, the organizers of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix unveiled the areas that will be affected by the works. In a photo posted by F1 on Instagram, we can count 3 main changes.<\/p>\n

The chicane located before the hairpin leading to the very long straight will be removed and the track will be widened, offering several trajectories to the drivers. The left-right-left turns sequence at the end of the opposite straight will also be removed in favor of a steep and very fast curve. The turns around the hotel will be widened to make them faster. The organizers also specified that these modifications will aim to reduce tire wear.<\/p>\n
