The Formula 1 in 2022 promises to be surprising, especially with the introduction of new regulations, but also with a record-breaking calendar of 23 Grand Prix races. It will also be an opportunity to witness a brand new Grand Prix and the return of iconic circuits that were absent due to the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

Start of season<\/h2>\n

The 2022 season<\/a> will start, like every year now, in Bahrain on March 18th. An emblematic start of the season that doesn’t change, but is quickly followed the week after by the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, which brought its share of spectacle during its first edition in 2021.<\/p>\n

For its 3rd Grand Prix of the season, F1 is returning to Melbourne on April 8th after a 2-year absence. A Grand Prix that is most likely eagerly anticipated by Daniel Ricciardo. In early May, it will be the brand new Grand Prix of the 2022 season taking place, the one in Miami. It will be held on May 6th and will undoubtedly be enjoyed by Lewis Hamilton, who expressed in 2017 his desire for a Grand Prix in Miami, and now his wish has been granted!<\/p>\n

After the Grand Prix of Barcelona, F1 returns to Monaco on May 27th for its 7th race of the season. Just before its European tour, F1 will make its return to the Montreal circuit on June 17th. Then, the teams will travel across Europe starting with Silverstone on July 1st, followed by Austria a week later before the French Grand Prix on July 22nd.<\/p>\n

Just before the F1 summer break, the Hungarian Grand Prix will take place, with the previous winner in 2021 being Frenchman Esteban Ocon.<\/p>\n

Summer break<\/h2>\n

The calendar resumes on August 26th in Spa, Belgium, with the start of the triple header, just like this year, including the circuits of Zandvoort and Monza completing the trio. One week after the conclusion of this triple header, another one begins with the Russian Grand Prix in Sochi, followed by the highly anticipated return to Singapore on September 30th, and then to the Suzuka circuit in Japan.<\/p>\n

After the Asia tour is over, Formula 1 takes off for the American continent with the United States Grand Prix on October 21, followed by the Mexican Grand Prix. Just before closing the 2022 season, Formula 1 stops in Brazil, and as in recent years, the grand finale of the season will take place in Abu Dhabi on November 20.<\/p>\n

So it’s going to be a very busy season for the teams with 23 Grand Prix races! But in 2022, Formula 1 ends earlier, on November 20th instead of December 12th this season. It’s worth noting that the Chinese Grand Prix will be a notable absence, as well as the absence of Qatar, which won’t host a Grand Prix in 2022 due to the football World Cup.<\/p>\n
