It is now official, Otmar Szafnauer is leaving Aston Martin! It marks the end of a 12-year-long journey for the American entrepreneur, who had joined the Silverstone-based team when it was still known as Force India.<\/p>\n
While since its creation, the team based in England had always managed to progress positively in the pack, 2021 marked the end of this progression. Indeed, in 2020, Racing Point had finished the season in 4th place, while in 2021 Lawrence Stroll saw his team finish in a distant 7th position.<\/p>\n
