The endurance news continues this week. Following the announcement of the Peugeot drivers for the 6 Hours of Monza and the presentation of the upcoming BMW, Cadillac is now getting in on it.<\/p>\n

This Thursday, the American brand unveiled its upcoming model, named Project GTP, co-developed by Cadillac Design, Cadillac Racing, and Dallara. Their car will be powered by a 5.5-liter V8 engine coupled with a hybrid system. Their first test drives are expected to take place in the coming months before the start of the 24 Hours of Daytona, which will serve as Cadillac’s inaugural race.<\/p>\n

Their hypercar will compete in the IMSA championship and the WEC. By participating in the 2023 IMSA and WEC championships, Cadillac Racing has the opportunity to showcase its capabilities, expertise, and technology. Cadillac will once again be competing on the global racing stage, and we are all thrilled to return to Le Mans after 20 years, said Rory Harvey, Global Cadillac Vice President.<\/p>\n

With this new model, the brand managed by General Motors could thus continue its series of endurance successes in the United States and compete with other teams at Le Mans. Indeed, Cadillac has won four times in a row at Daytona from 2017 to 2020 and has won the IMSA championship three times.<\/p>\n

To compete for overall victory at Le Mans with an iconic American brand like Cadillac is an honor.
