As they were progressing in their race, the leading trio Lopes-Conway-Kobayashi encountered an issue with their Toyota. It lost power and went at a slow pace for a few seconds, before eventually picking up speed again. It headed to the pit stop to be examined by the mechanics. As a result, car number 8 took the lead in the race, and it came back out before the Glickenhaus 709 took second place.<\/p>\n

In LMP2, Team JOTA is still comfortably leading with a one-lap advantage over Prema driven by Robert Kubica. United Autosport 22, involved in an accident at the start, is in a solid 11th position in its category. Algarve Pro Racing, with the trio Fl\u00f6rsch-Aitken-Falb, is in 24th place in LMP2. Without their incident, they could be at the level of 12th place.<\/p>\n

In GTE PRO, the Porsche 92, which was in the lead, has lost everything. After a long wheel lock-up at Mulsanne, the front right tire of the car subsequently exploded, damaging the entire front end. It lost valuable time and handed over the lead to the Corvette 64, which is ahead of the AF Corse 51 Ferrari, but with one less pit stop (16 compared to 17 for the Ferrari).<\/p>\n
