It was complicated, but she was finally unveiled. For this 16th meeting of the season, at Monza, many drivers were given penalty positions for engine component changes or for poor behavior on the track.<\/p>\n

Thus, nine drivers have seen their positions changed since the end of qualifying yesterday. Charles Leclerc, on the other hand, retains his pole position but will not start alongside Max Verstappen. The Dutchman moves back five places and will start seventh.<\/p>\n

Further back, Sergio Perez, who set the fourth fastest time, will start 13th despite a 10-place penalty. He is ahead of Esteban Ocon (5-place penalty – engine), Valtteri Bottas (15-place penalty – multiple changes), the two Haas drivers Magnussen and Schumacher (also 15-place penalties), Carlos Sainz, Lewis Hamilton, and Yuki Tsunoda (condemned to the back of the grid).<\/p>\n

All these penalties benefit George Russell, who will start second. The McLarens will occupy the second row. Pierre Gasly and Fernando Alonso will start from fifth and sixth place. For his first race in F1, Nyck de Vries will start 8th, two places ahead of his teammate Nicholas Latifi. The Aston Martins will be 11th and 12th.<\/p>\n
