Author of a beautiful qualifying session on Saturday, Sergio Perez, starting second on the grid, made a superb start. The Mexican managed to get alongside and overtake Charles Leclerc even before the first corner. Now leading the race, the Red Bull driver displayed a pace high enough to prevent any kind of pressure from Charles Leclerc. Even when the track dried enough to allow the activation of DRS, Perez was able to pull away from the Monegasque and secure his second victory in 2022. This is the first time in his career that Sergio Perez has led every lap of a Grand Prix.<\/p>\n
