Beautiful emotions this morning following the announcement made by the Van Amersfoort Racing team. American Juan Manuel Correa will be making his return to Formula 2 since the terrible accident in Spa in 2019 with the late Anthoine Hubert.<\/p>\n

The ART GP driver in F3 this season underwent extensive leg surgeries with multiple fractures and a spinal operation. He even had to be placed in an artificial coma a few days later due to respiratory failure.<\/p>\n

It is a year and a half after his accident that he will get back into an old GP3 car. He will return to competition in Formula 3 with the ART GP team. He will finish the 2021 season in twenty-first place with eleven points. This season, the American achieved a beautiful podium and finishes the year in thirteenth place with thirty-nine points.<\/p>\n

He also participates in the European Le Mans Series with Prema.<\/p>\n

He is even considered to take a Formula 2 seat next year with ART GP or even VAR.<\/p>\n
