The lap times were really improved at the very end of the session. We thought we would see a pole position from the French driver Th\u00e9o Pourchaire when we saw the yellow flag in sector 3. In the end, two other French cars beat him to it, with Ayumu Iwasa setting the fastest time (1.36.290) ahead of his teammate Roy Nissany (+0.036) and Th\u00e9o Pourchaire (+0.082).<\/p>\n
However, the spins of Dams’ Iwasa and Nissany were done under yellow flags with rookie Zane Maloney’s spin.<\/p>\n
Normally both Dams drivers had successfully taken turn 9 (where Maloney spun out) before the yellow flag was shown.<\/p>\n
