In 1950 and 1951, it was Alfa Romeo that led Giuseppe Farina and Juan-Manuel Fangio to the titles in the first two championships in the history of the premier category.<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, under the leadership of former CEO of FIAT, Sergio Marchionne, Alfa Romeo made a return to Formula 1 by partnering with the Sauber team. It was notably the Biscione brand that introduced Charles Leclerc before he joined Ferrari in 2019. The contract between the Swiss team and the Milan-based brand is set to end in late 2023, so we should no longer see the Alfa Romeo logo in Grand Prix races starting from the 2024 season.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with <i>L&#8217;Argus<\/i>, the current leader of the Italian premium brand of the Stellantis group does not exclude a future in motorsport.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab The future of the brand in motorsport will be decided at the end of June.
