Pierre Gasly’s weekend starts in the worst possible way. During the only free practice session of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the Frenchman saw a small fire at the back of his car.<\/p>\n
Immediately, the yellow flag was waved before being replaced by the red flag when car number 10 came to a halt. Once stopped, the track marshals emptied their fire extinguishers on the blue car that was engulfed in flames.<\/p>\n
Alpine then indicated that this incident was due to a loss of hydraulic pressure in their car. The French team has confirmed that they will seek to determine the cause.<\/p>\n
