“I don’t think I would want to lose Barcelona, I really love the city,” stated Lewis Hamilton. “I think it’s very important to keep some classic circuits. At least those that allow for spectacular races. Budapest is spectacular, just like the Grand Prix in Silverstone. The Briton believes that these circuits represent the heritage of the sport and the category. These traditional circuits represent the past of Formula 1, symbols of the sport. The circuit officials are trying to address this sentiment from the public. Two years ago, the Caixa corner was already modified to facilitate overtaking. For Carlos Sainz, the question is different. The Spanish driver prefers to ensure that the Spanish Grand Prix stays on the calendar, after Barcelona’s contract expires in 2026. No matter where, the Ferrari driver wants to continue racing in the Iberian Peninsula.<\/p>\n
