Since the beginning of the year, Sophia Fl\u00f6rsch has opened a new chapter in her career. By joining the Alpine program, the young German driver has set aside the APR team and endurance racing. Now, at 22 years old, she is taking part in the Formula 3 championship, a category in which she hasn’t raced since 2020.<\/p>\n

Present at the inauguration of Alpine’s next Hypercar, Sophia Fl\u00f6rsch indicated that she preferred to focus on F3 rather than endurance racing. “I think it’s great for Alpine to join the Hypercar program. There are a lot of manufacturers, which makes the competition exciting. I am happy for them,” she assured us.<\/p>\n

A return to Le Mans?<\/h2>\n

I think that now, I am going to focus on the single-seater, since I have returned to Formula 3. F1 is still my goal. We will see what will happen with Alpine, but I remain focused on my objective.<\/p>\n

However, her arrival within the French structure was supposed to be part of Alpine’s ambition to develop new opportunities for young talents as well as to strengthen their presence in the World Endurance Championship and Le Mans 2024, indicated Alpine in February last year.<\/p>\n
