Alex Dunne (Rodin Motorsport) and Arvid Lindblad (Campos Racing) were penalized after the main race of the Belgian Grand Prix. The Irishman received a ten-second penalty for a technical infraction, while the Briton was disqualified for non-compliant tire pressure. The Invicta drivers benefit from the penalties: Roman Stanek inherits the victory and Leonardo Fornaroli takes the lead in the championship.<\/p>\n

Dunne penalized with ten seconds<\/h2>\n

Alexander Dunne, the initial winner of the event, was penalized ten seconds for not engaging the regulatory start procedure at the beginning of the formation lap. The telemetry data from his single-seater confirmed this infraction of articles 1.6.1 of the F2 technical regulations and 11.15 of the user manual.<\/p>\n

The Rodin Motorsport team had decided not to activate this procedure following the race director’s announcement regarding the rolling start behind the safety car. Dunne had asked for confirmation from his team, which confirmed not to engage the procedure. However, the stewards considered that this decision constituted a violation of the regulations.<\/p>\n

This penalty drops the Irishman from first to ninth place in the final standings.<\/p>\n

Lindblad disqualified for tire pressure<\/h2>\n

Arvid Lindblad, who should have inherited the victory, was disqualified for technical non-compliance. Post-race checks revealed that the four wet tires on his single-seater had pressures below the minimum required by Pirelli.<\/p>\n

The measurements taken by the FIA technical delegate showed:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Avant gauche:<\/b> 15,74 PSI (minimum 16,0 PSI)<\/div>\n
\u2022 Avant droit:<\/b> 15,61 PSI (minimum 16,0 PSI)<\/div>\n
\u2022 Arri\u00e8re gauche:<\/b> 13,59 PSI (minimum 14,0 PSI)<\/div>\n
\u2022 Arri\u00e8re droit:<\/b> 13,70 PSI (minimum 14,0 PSI)<\/div>\n

The Campos Racing team accepted these measures and acknowledged the violation of Article 10.4.3 of the technical regulations.<\/p>\n

New podium and ranking<\/h2>\n

Roman Stanek inherits the victory, his second in Formula 2. Ritomo Miyata climbs onto his first F2 podium by finishing second, while Luke Browning completes the revised podium.<\/p>\n

Leonardo Fornaroli, initially seventh at Spa, climbs to fifth place and takes the lead in the championship with 125 points, three points ahead of Richard Verschoor (122 points). Jak Crawford (116 points) holds third place overall, while Dunne drops to fourth position after briefly reclaiming the championship lead.<\/p>\n

On the constructors’ side, Invicta takes the lead in the standings with 182 points. Campos drops to second position with 169 points, while Hitech TGR maintains its third place with 163 points. Rodin Motorsport falls to sixth place after Dunne’s penalty.<\/p>\n
