The president of the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Internationale de l&#8217;Automobile (FIA), Mohammed Ben Sulayem, is embarking on an official visit to Japan to emphasize the country&#8217;s central role in the evolution of global mobility, automotive innovation, and motorsport development.<\/p>\n<p>The trip illustrates the FIA&#8217;s desire to work hand in hand with manufacturers (OEM), governments, mobility clubs, and national sporting authorities (ASN). Objective: to advance sustainable mobility and inclusive growth in motorsports.<\/p>\n<h2>Technological innovation and sports enthusiasm<\/h2>\n<p>Japan, a leading industrial and technological power, is establishing itself as a global leader in the fields of public transport, smart city development, research on alternative fuels, and MaaS (Mobility as a Service) platforms. In 2023, the Japan Mobility Show attracted more than 1.25 million visitors, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and cross-sector cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>On the sports side, enthusiasm remains strong: the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) now counts over 200,000 active license holders in motorsport, a 20% increase over five years.
