As a reminder, Zak Brown had indicated that he would be in Sarthe in June, despite the Canadian Grand Prix taking place the same weekend. Additionally, the circuit museum is hosting an exhibition of the British brand. Several Formula 1 cars and McLaren F1 GTRs are displayed in the building. \u00ab I hope we will have exciting announcements to make this year. We would love to fight for victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. \u00bb<\/p>\n
Many firms are now attracted to the WEC due to its significantly lower costs compared to the LMP1 era. This is also an argument highlighted by Zak Brown. \u00ab Today, the cost of competition is under control. During the LMP1 era, some manufacturers were spending hundreds of millions, which made no economic sense. Now, we have excellent regulations that attract big brands. \u00bb<\/p>\n

With success in Formula 1 and notable results in IndyCar, the British brand is doing very well in motorsport. McLaren is also involved in the other world endurance championship program, the GT3. One of the two cars, the #59, is currently in second place in the standings. The other is a bit further back, in seventh position.<\/p>\n
Now remains to know who could be the drivers involved in case of Hypercar involvement. Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri have already shown their interest. But it’s difficult to combine the WEC and F1, as the schedule sometimes overlaps.
