A real catastrophe. The Chinese Grand Prix was turbulent after the race. Three drivers were disqualified. First Charles Leclerc and Pierre Gasly for driving an underweight car. As a reminder, the Alpine and the Ferrari were weighed at 799 kilos, one less than what the regulations require.<\/p>\n
A few minutes after these announcements, it was Lewis Hamilton who was at the center of a decision by the stewards. The Briton was summoned to explain the wear on his floorboard. Ferrari #44 had worn this part too much in places, by only a few tenths of millimeters.<\/p>\n
Having excessively worn his floor, the seven-time world champion was disqualified, as was his teammate. This penalty is tough for Ferrari, which sees major points slip away: both drivers had finished fifth and sixth.<\/p>\n
