Since the end of 2023, the fins and their rigidity are being closely monitored. While since 2024 the tolerances were 2.5 mm of deflection under full load in a straight line, the tolerance is now reduced to 0.75 mm since the Chinese Grand Prix.<\/p>\n

Most of the teams have therefore come with new, more rigid wings, but they still need to prove their rigidity. Apparently, Williams was unable to deliver the video evidence from their cars’ cameras to the FIA on time this Friday.<\/p>\n

\u00ab The Atlassian Williams Racing team did not provide the video files recorded by the forward and rearward facing wireless cameras within an hour after the end of the first free practice session, as required by the procedure \u00ab Additional Diagnostic \u00bb of technical directive TD034L. The video files recorded by these cameras are used to verify compliance with the first paragraph of article 3.2.2 and, furthermore, as mentioned in article 3.15.16 of the 2025 F1 technical regulations. \u00bb states the FIA.<\/p>\n

As a result, the team is under investigation for alleged infractions of articles 3.2.2 and 3.15.16 of the FIA Formula 1 technical regulations \u2013 Failure to transmit video files recorded by the forward-facing and rearward-facing wireless cameras within the given time frame.<\/p>\n

The stewards will therefore ask Williams for more details on Saturday morning at 8:30 local time, which is overnight in Europe.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
