The FIA had published the list of drivers and teams registered<\/a> for the 2025 F1 World Championship. That was without taking into account a turn of events<\/b>: Sergio Perez will not drive for Red Bull in 2025<\/a>. A replacement had to be found, and there were many candidates. It was rookie Liam Lawson<\/a> who was chosen, as he was in direct competition with his teammate, Yuki Tsunoda. There was then one last spot remaining in the premier category, providing an opportunity for young French driver Isack Hadjar to be promoted to F1<\/a>, with Racing Bulls.<\/p>\n

The 2025 Formula 1 grid<\/h2>\n

Here is the list of drivers participating in F1 for the 2025 season:<\/p>\n

McLaren<\/h2>\n

McLaren has no reason to worry about next year. In Woking, Zak Brown can already count on Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri for 2025, as both have recently reaffirmed their commitment to the team. The Briton has a long-term contract while the Australian is committed to McLaren until 2026.<\/p>\n

Ferrari<\/h2>\n

The transfer market had started at full speed as early as February, with the surprising announcement of Lewis Hamilton’s move to Ferrari. The Scuderia had overturned all predictions, which pushed Carlos Sainz to push himself to ensure a place in F1 next year. The seven-time world champion is signed with a multi-year contract and will be alongside the Monegasque driver, Charles Leclerc. A very promising duo for the Italian team, which is in pursuit of the constructors’ title.<\/p>\n

Red Bull Racing<\/h2>\n

Red Bull has bet on renewal for 2025<\/b>. The Austrian team retains its number 1 driver, Max Verstappen, who became a four-time world champion<\/a> this season. He has a contract until 2028. On the other side of the garage, a rookie: Liam Lawson<\/a>, who will replace Sergio Perez<\/a>, ousted from the team. Red Bull hopes to score points with its two drivers<\/b> and clinch the constructors’ title.<\/p>\n

Mercedes<\/h2>\n

George Russell becomes the team’s number 1 driver after Lewis Hamilton’s departure. He will be partnered with the young rookie, Kimi Andrea Antonelli, who has been supported by the Mercedes camp since his beginnings. A fairly young duo that will also be worth watching as the German team aims to confirm its good results at the end of the season, following the improvements made by the team.<\/p>\n

Aston Martin<\/h2>\n

At Aston Martin, no changes, as Fernando Alonso extended his contract at the beginning of April followed by Lance Stroll. It is therefore the continuity<\/b> that awaits the Greens, at least until 2026.<\/p>\n

Alpine<\/h2>\n

After a complicated start to the season, Alpine also had to manage tensions between Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly. A few days after the Monaco Grand Prix and the internal incident that marked the team, Alpine announced the end of its collaboration with Esteban Ocon, whose contract is not renewed. Pierre Gasly, on the other hand, has signed a long-term extension. He will be supported by Jack Doohan. A reserve driver for the team, the Australian has proven himself and secured the second available spot at Alpine, marking his debut in Formula 1.<\/p>\n

Haas F1 Team<\/h2>\n

Renewal for Haas, which took advantage of the British Grand Prix to officially announce the signing of Oliver Bearman<\/a> for the 2025 season. Very impressive during his first F1 race when he replaced Carlos Sainz at Ferrari in Saudi Arabia, the driver scored important points on that occasion. A member of the Ferrari academy, the Briton had already driven with Haas during two free practice sessions 1 in 2023, where he made a good impression<\/b>. As for the second driver, it will be Esteban Ocon. The driver from Normandy has signed a multi-year contract<\/a> with the American team.<\/p>\n

Taureaux de course<\/h2>\n

One might have thought that Yuki Tsunoda would sign with Red Bull after Sergio Perez’s departure, yet the Austrian team decided to activate the extension of the Japanese driver’s contract by one year. Following the announcement of Liam Lawson’s departure to Racing Bulls, the Formula 2 vice-champion, Isack Hadjar, is promoted and will thus be the third French representative on the grid in 2025.<\/p>\n

Williams<\/h2>\n

James Vowles has great ambitions for the British team next season. Alex Albon continues the adventure, he is signed until 2025. To accompany him, Carlos Sainz has chosen to join the project after his departure from Ferrari. This arrival sparked a lot of reactions after the numerous rumors surrounding his transfer. He is signed at least until 2026.<\/p>\n

Clean<\/h2>\n

At the end of their contract, Valtteri Bottas and Guanyu Zhou<\/a> have not been retained. Nico H\u00fclkenberg<\/a> has signed for Sauber’s ambitious project, which will become Audi in 2026. The experienced driver will be accompanied by Gabriel Bortoleto<\/a>. At 20 years old, the F2 champion will make his debut in Formula 1. He is supported by his mentor, Fernando Alonso<\/a>. Both have signed a multi-year contract.<\/p>\n
