A gesture that started with good intentions. But which quickly backfired on Alpine. After the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the final race of the season, the team posted two identical messages on Twitter. One in English, the other in French.<\/p>\n
The problem is that the latter was translated quite poorly. If the beginning of the text does not contain major mistakes, the end raises questions. The use of an automatic translator is most certainly the cause.<\/p>\n

If this dubious translation has been the target of numerous critical messages towards Alpine, other responses pointed out the signatures. At the bottom of the statement, the name of Pierre Gasly and Jack Doohan appears. So far, no problem, but no mention of Estaban Ocon, who participated in the double podium in Brazil, mentioned in this famous text.<\/p>\n
Finally, during the traditional family photo taken at each last Grand Prix of the season, there was no mention of Esteban Ocon. The only man who brought Alpine to the top step of the podium in this era of Formula 1.<\/p>\n
