Valtteri Bottas had qualified in the top 10, but his race collapsed already in the first lap.<\/p>\n<p>He received a <b>10-second penalty<\/b> for a collision with Sergio Perez at turn 6, before hitting Kevin Magnussen&#8217;s Haas.<\/p>\n<p>Abu Dhabi marks the end of a last difficult season for Bottas, who scored no points in the 24 races held in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Next year, <a href=\"\/f1\/actualite\/35241-valtteri-bottas-revient-perte-siege-sauber.html\" title=\"Valtteri Bottas reflects on losing his seat at Sauber\">Valtteri Bottas will be without a seat<\/a>, as Sauber has chosen to replace him with F2 champion Gabriel Bortoleto. &#8220;It&#8217;s definitely not the ideal ending, but these things happen, it&#8217;s racing,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab This is not the first time, everything went wrong from the first lap. The incident, then the penalty, then I was at the back out of position, and later, I collided with Kevin [Magnussen].
