This charter stems from the recommendations of this report, calling for the motorsport sector to commit to improving diversity and inclusion within all organizations. Its implementation will be supported by Mission 44, the foundation created by Lewis Hamilton, which recently published research showing that programs including commitments or codes promote accountability.<\/p>\n
Acknowledging that diversity is essential for introducing new perspectives, stimulating innovation, and improving overall performance, Formula 1 has designed this charter to promote collaboration in order to produce positive and sustainable results.<\/p>\n
It is based on four main pillars<\/b>: enabling everyone to access, contribute to, and benefit from the global motor sport. Identifying and removing barriers to attract and retain a diverse range of talent, improving work practices, and engaging stakeholders to drive innovation.<\/p>\nThe four pillars of action<\/h2>\n
Attract:<\/b> Encourage initiatives aimed at attracting underrepresented groups and collecting demographic data to improve recruitment practices.<\/p>\n
Retain:<\/b> Implement processes to mitigate bias and create inclusive cultures that foster the development of diversity.<\/p>\n
Create:<\/b> Encourage all perspectives in the design and realization of products and services, and encourage supply chains to adopt this approach.<\/p>\n
Engage:<\/b> Communicate commitment to diversity and inclusion with stakeholders, listen, learn, and improve to provide a more inclusive experience.<\/p>\nAn enhanced collective commitment<\/h2>\n
A working group on diversity and inclusion, including representatives from F1, the FIA, and teams, will evolve into an implementation group responsible for measurable projects with key performance indicators.<\/p>\n
